Normally, bursa are flat and contain very little fluid. An injured bursa however, is swollen with fluid and not so flat anymore.
The most common bursitis injuries are:
Prepatellar Bursitis (housemaid's knee),
Superficial Infrapatellar Bursitis (clergyman's knee),
Trochanteric Bursitis (hip),
Olecranon Bursitis (student's elbow) and
Subacromial Bursitis (shoulder bursitis).
Deep Bursae separate bare areas of bone from overlapping muscles. Superficial Bursae separate
bare areas of bone from skin or tendons.
Deep Bursae develop in the womb.
Superficial Bursae develop within months to several years after birth.
Household names for various bursitis injuries include: Popeye's Elbow, Miner's Elbow, Weaver's Elbow, Housemaid's Knee, Hod-Carrier's Shoulders, Dustman's Shoulders, Student's Elbow, and Clergyman's Knee
Bursitis Injury Facts Part 3:
On occasion, bacteria can invade a bursa and cause an infection. An infected bursa is known as septic bursitis and can be life-threatening if left untreated. So make sure you see a physician!
Septic bursitis is most common in knee joints and elbow joints as the bursae in these locations are close to the skin and most susceptible to bacterial invasion.
It is not uncommon for bursitis to be misdiagnosed as arthritis.
Bursitis is best avoided by staying in shape, taking frequent breaks from repetitive or laborious tasks and cushioning joints if on them for long periods (ie. kneepads for gardening).
A Bursa can swell to a surprisingly large size. In cases of heavy swelling, your physician may choose to drain fluid from the swollen bursa. If a lump is present in chronic bursitis cases, excision may be required.
Clergyman's Knee comes from a more upright posture when kneeling in comparison to Housemaid's Knee. Patients suffering from gout or syphilis can be at higher risk of contracting Clergyman's Knee.

Thank you so much for your communication. I am loving the Ankle Inferno wrap and just wish that I was disciplined enough to use it more because I believe I am actually feeling better!

Also great for ribs I have broken; cracked and even fractured almost all my ribs in all this ; you trip fall just right and you can't stop yourself well rest is history feels good on that part. As soon as I began using the shoulder product much of the swelling and pain went away.
I was impressed because I'm a cynical health practitioner. But it does make total sense to move blood flow to tissue that needs to be repaired. There's really no [See Full Review]other way -- except for surgery. And I'm trying to avoid that.
I'd say I have another 30-40% of arm use back.
Thank you MendMeShop for creating such a simple and effective product. [Close Review]

I'm regularly using both Leg and Plantar Inferno Wraps now and I'm already seeing extreme/good results.
Basically I'm doing lots of running now and enjoy competing 5k's & 10k's. Hopefully full marathon soon and to achieve better results I need to[See Full Review] train hard; consequences [of this] are typical running injuries.
Obviously I'm treating my Plantar Fascia [with the Plantar Inferno Wrap], and using the Leg Inferno Wrap I'm treating my calf and hamstring. Both Inferno Wraps I should say are user friendly / easy to use except you need to be near electrical outlet to operate this gadget.
I should say this equipment is a big help to the runners world.[Close Review]

Just a quick note to say thanks for your products......even though it was I who purchased them, lol. I have been dealing with a small meniscus tear (left knee) for almost a year and a half and didn't want the surgery and the down time, crutches and [See Full Review]also that I have stairs in my home and at my gym.
I believe I have been useing your products for 3-4 weeks now and am really pleased with the results thus far. I am still taking stairs one at a time to reduce any impact on the knee and only do low impact cycling at the gym. It is my understanding that I should continue treatment for 4-6 months.
Over the past eight months I have been suffering from shoulder and arm pain. I just kept thinking that the pain would go away on its own. When I reached the point where I was unable to raise my arm over my head without assistance and forget about [See Full Review]putting my arm behind my back.
I decided that a trip to the doctor was due. She ruled out that I had an injury to the Rotator Cuff itself and determined that I had a soft tissue injury. Due to repetitive movement and heavy lifting.
She suggested that I try physical therapy. With my work schedule and family obligations I knew that was going to be very difficult and I wanted something that I could fit into my schedule. So I began doing research on the internet for alternative treatments and exercises.
That's when I found your product on the internet. I was somewhat skeptical as to rather it would perform as stated, but decided to give it a try. It was stated that it could take up to three weeks to feel results.
BUT I am here to say that for myself it has done better. I have been using the Freezie Wrap for a week and have already felt some improvement. I can now raise my arm to just about shoulder height unassisted, and can now almost get my finger tips back behind my back.
I make a point of using Freeze Wrap as soon as I get home from work to relieve the stress to my muscles from work and to keep the inflammation down. Now that I have gotten some of the inflammation gone I intend to incorporate the Inferno Wrap treatment to my regiment to just before going bed to aid the healing process and aid in a better night's sleep. I am more than grateful to have come across the Inferno as I know it is helping in my healing process.
I broke my patella in half and healing from surgery (range of motion/pain) has been extremely slow.
Sitting, which is required to work was almo[See Full Review]st impossible and daily more tolerable. The range of motion has increased and I should be able to start driving again the end of the month. I know the Inferno was part of this change in healing, along with my diligent exercises/care.
I have a ways to go and confident the Inferno will continue be major contributor.[Close Review]
I am writing to let everyone know how wonderfully the Inferno Wrap works! I'd been suffering with plantar fascitis for a month, I tried a splint, shoe inserts, rest, ice, stretching. It was improving, oh so slowly. However, once I got my I[See Full Review]nferno Wrap, everything changed and within two days I was walking on my foot!
I still get pain after being on my feet all night at work, and reapply the Wrap when I go home and am good to go again. It's a miracle! The fact that you have a money back guarantee makes it so safe to purchase.
I suffered a repeat motion injury to my wrist at work about 2 months ago. I did a lot of research online and self diagnosed myself with intersection syndrome, a condition of the tendons that run from the back of the thumb, under the muscles in the ba[See Full Review]ck of the wrist, and up the back of the forearm. I was reinjuring or irritating it every day with the simplest of tasks. I could barely use that hand at all, and the swelling was severe. I found your website and after reading the positive results I decided to order your wraps although very skeptical. I alternated the hot and cold wraps and I haven't had a problem with the wrist since. I do a lot of awkward and heavy lifting at work, and have not felt the slightest irritation. 3 times in 4 days and GONE! I still can't believe it. I am forever grateful for finding you.[Close Review]
I wanted to e-mail you and let you know how things are going. In your last e-mail to me you made a very profound statement that I had never heard before. I have been to several doctors over the past 10 years and not any one of them eve[See Full Review]r told me that snapping hip syndrome was a manifestation of short leg syndrome.
I truly think that many of my problems are layers that have had to have been slowly peeled away to find out what the problem is that is causing each and every one of them.
I thought about the statement that you made and I applied it.
Several years back I had a chiropractor tell me that I had short leg syndrome and that I had fallen arches in my right foot and leg. He ordered me an orthotic and a lift to make up the difference. My foot hurt all the time and my right hip hurt all the time and so I stoppd wearing them. A few years later I discovered that I had a bad right ovary. Once I had a doctor that agreed that it was bad and removed it and all that pain went away I was left with my right foot hurting. I found arch supports that made that better but then I had the bursitus and snapping hip syndrome symptoms.
No Doctor knew what to do for me and basically tried to give me pain medication to cover it up. I don't want to cover anything up. I want to find the root of the problem and treat it. So, I got to thinking about your statement. (I know it seems like I am going around this same tree, but I will get there) My thought was that because of the pain I was suffering from my ovary, maybe with that all gone I should try the lifts again and see what happens. I am telling you...that one little statement you made took care of my bursitis and my snapping hip syndrome.
I am no longer suffering from any of that. I am sleeping well at night. Thank you for your statement.
You just don't know how much that has meant to me. You don't know me, you have never met me but you literally saved the quality of my life. It took me a few days after I read your e-mail to put two and two together so to speak but it was worth trying again. Thank you so much. [Close Review]
Thank you so much for your Courtesy email. I have used the wraps, alternating the treatments as your information advised. I am absolutely thrilled with the results. For over a month, I could not get up out of my chair without assistanc[See Full Review]e and I thought my knee was never going to heal. I have used them for 9 full days and I am able to get up by myself. I have never had any problem like this before and I have a new appreciation for the disabled. This treatment has been unbelievably successful for me and I have told everyone I know about this product. It has been like going from night to day....I am at least 85% better.
Thank you again for these most wonderful products. I having been thanking my wonderful God and Savior of this universe for you people. I hope you have a wonderful day and may God bless you personally and prosper your company abundantly!!
Just had to share my story. My son who was 17 years old at the time he's now 18, was complaining of pain in both his knees.
We took him to the Dr who told us he had torn cartilage in both knees and would need arthroscopic surgery on both knees to t[See Full Review]ake out the torn cartilage. At this young age I did not want him to loose what cartilage he had as it leads to other problems when you get older.
The orthopedic surgeon wanted to do surgery right away before more damage was done. He had surgery on his left knee and they took out 35% of his cartilage. I went to the internet for help ,hoping there was a better way to solve his problem in his other knee.
That's when I found the Mend me shop.
I showed the articles to his Surgeon and told him I wanted to try it before he had more surgery done. He said it was probably just another internet scam but I went ahead and ordered it anyway sine they have a 60 day return policy. What did we have to lose, nothing. To my surprise the inferno wrap took most of my son's pain, clicking and soreness away.
His knee feels like new again and he's back to paying basketball. I have never responded to any product before but I feel strongly about these products, they really do work, I wish I had saved him from having surgery on his other knee.
So if you are having the same issues give these products a try you have nothing to lose and everything to gain!!!!!![Close Review]
Dear MENDMESHOP People:...
Dear MENDMESHOP People:
I just want you to know what miraculous relief your products gave me. I had a torn ligament near the inside ankle of my left foot (called "posterior tibial tendonitis" after a long series of non-effective treatments).
I r[See Full Review]eceived this injury last OCTOBER!!! (This is August!) My podiatrist had put me in an immovable "boot" the first 2 months (from about Nov. 1, 2011, to Jan 8, 2012. Then he put me in a lesser type of brace till the middle of May. I was not getting any better, so he put me in a "permanent" molded brace which supposedly would do the trick (according to him).
But I asked the one who fitted me with this brace how long he thought I would need it, and he plainly said, "The rest of your life!" I yelled, "NOOOOOOOOOO! I will not!!! I WILL BE HEALED!" However, I didn't know how.
I then began researching on the internet some other means of healing this type of injury. I found out that tendons do not heal well by themselves, so all I was doing was propping up my injury to a lifestyle of pain and hardship. By the grace of God, I had acquired a motorized chair (I called it my "Chariot") to use, which was a life-saver for about 9 months, or I would have been virtually apartment-bound in this retirement complex where we now live. So I was grateful for the chariot, but it wasn't helping my injured foot to heal. I thought it surely MUST BE healing, but that brace-fitter gave me a rude awakening that it was not, nor would it ever be! Wow!
So I researched on the internet any possible alternatives for healing my foot.
The MENDMESHOP had the most promising way of healing torn tendons, or tendonitis, that I could find. However, we had already spent lots of money on braces, etc., so I didn't purchase it right away. But that allowed me to see that truly, I was NOT getting any better, even in that fancy, molded-to-my foot-and-calf brace. So after more careful research and printing out the articles in your website to study, my husband and I agreed to take the plunge and order the products.
Right off the bat, I found that this was a company that was honest in its dealings, because your sales rep/counselor said it had been too long since my original injury for the Freezie Wrap to be effective, and I only needed the Inferno Wrap.
That was a big PLUS in my opinion, which indicated to me that MENDMESHOP was not just out to SELL if I would buy. I even argued somewhat with the rep, but he stood firm, saying I didn't need the Freezie at this point! So I followed his advice and he was so right!
I received my Inferno Wrap on July 14 and began using it right away. I used the Inferno Wrap at Medium intensity, at about 2 PM and 11 PM. I followed that routine faithfully for about 10 days, and then increased the procedure to 3 times per day for about 5 more days.
On August 2 (only 2 weeks and 5 days into the program) I became truly healed! TRULY HEALED, can you imagine?!? I could hardly believe it, but it was so! There was no pain even without my brace on. And I have not worn the brace since! For a couple of days I still used my "Chariot" for the longer walks I had to do, but then I began leaving it behind and walking normally -- no brace, no pain, no problem! I've even been shopping now without having to use one of those motorized chairs to get around. Thank you SO MUCH!!!
I hope you will use this letter to encourage others like me to "take the plunge" and order the equipment and do the routine. It works, and I'd be happy to help anyone do it. In fact, yesterday as I was shopping, I met a woman who had a "boot" on just like the one I first had. I could sypathize greatly with her, so I told her all about you and how to access you on the internet. I pray she will.
I have to admit, I fully expected to be returning my order. (inferno wrap, freezie wrap) I told my wife "this is a lot of money and if doesn't work I'm sending it back", "I've got 60 days".
Well after about 9 days of (2) treatments per day my severe[See Full Review] case of Lateral Epicondylitis (tennis elbow) is almost pain free. I tried wearing the over the counter tendon support brace with absolutely no results.
My elbow pain was so bad I couldn't sleep at night and just knew I was going to have to see a doctor. Then I found your website. I was very impressed with the quality of your wraps, very thick and made form high quality materials. I guess the old adage "you get what you pay for" speaks volumes here.
I'm completely sold on your products and won't be returning anything!!! Thank you for helping heal my tennis elbow and I've already told many of my friends about your web site.
I have owned the elbow Inferno Wrap for over a year now. I have had tennis elbow in both elbows for over 15 years.
After any activity using either arm, both elbows ache...heavily.
About 15 months ago, the tennis elbow got so bad in my left arm[See Full Review] I had to finally go under the knife for torn tendons both in my elbow and my bicep. I could not even extend my arm while sleeping and the gym was a FAR fetched memory. The process from the first doctor's appointment to the actual operating table took about 4 months.
I was also told the recovery would be about 3 months and not fully recovered from the tears for a full year. I was informed that no matter what I did, I would always have this inflammation in my elbow and I needed something to give.
Either my activity level, including the gym, would have to be cut down drastically, or I had to find a way to get the inflammation down. I am allergic to all anti-inflammatories and NSAIDS.
This is where my researched turned up the Inferno Wrap.
As you can imagine, I have tried all sorts of heating pads, cooling pads, ice therapy, and months of physical therapy. I believe I even found the Mend Me Shop and the Inferno Wrap while looking for something along the heating and cooling pad line. My immediate thought was why are these so expensive? What makes them so special? I have to say that initially,
I took a chance because I had no other option for relief.
The day the Inferno Wrap arrived, I knew I had something I had not had access to before. You can tell IMMEDIATELY tell after turning this on that is is working DEEP into the tissue. The wrap does get warm, but in NO WAY is this a heating pad.
THIS IS THE ONLY THING THAT PROVIDED AND CONTINUES TO PROVIDE ME RELIEF.
I have not dialed down my activity level. When my elbows ache, the Inferno Wrap goes on, and within one 20 minute treatment, the ache is gone.
Believe me when I say I have been looking for this for 15 years steady. I have since recommended to EVERYONE I know the Inferno Wrap, and have purchased one for my back, which works just as well, as expected. This is a product that works.
This is a product that is backed by good customer service. This is a product that is worth EVERY PENNY.
Knowing what I know now, buying the Inferno Wrap was no chance, but a miracle and nothing less. [Close Review]

My back is feeling better. Regular heating pads don't seem to work as well as the Inferno - I would assume due to their lack of penetration.
The Inferno Wrap is of good benefit at this point.
Thanks for a great product.

I recently ordered the Inferno Wrap and wanted to tell you how great it worked. I had a minor MCL tear and bursitis of the knee from a fall on ice in February, yes here in the Southern US, we do have ice sometimes and we don't know how to walk on it.[See Full Review] Well, to make a long story short, I healed much faster and will recommend your product to others.
Also, a representative from Mendmeshop called and asked how the product was working. This is unheard of in today's world. I never realized how long or involved a knee injury could be. Thank you for such a wonderful product.[Close Review]

I am a very active individual. If I am not running or lifting weights you can usually find me doing various outdoor and home improvement projects.
That is why when I recently started experiencing pain in my shoulder, upper arm and forearm I conclud[See Full Review]ed that I had aggravated an old rotator cuff injury. Initially I ignored the discomfort, thinking that that would make it magically disappear but, to my disappointment the pain only continued to get worse.
After a couple of months of I pain, I decided to do something for myself. I tried stretching exercises, massage, the heating pad and ibprofen but nothing seemed to be helping.
That's when I went online and found the Mend Me Shop and the inferno wrap for the shoulder seemed like a good way to wrap the heat around the immediate area that needed treating.
When I picked up the package from the post office I was anxious to get started. I was so pleased that after only three days of using the products, I was feeling relief. It's only been a little over a week since I started treatments and I can say that I can once again imagine living without the that constant pain.
